Metro Tech is No. 1 in the state for enrollment in adult and career development training
Journal Record ranks Metro Tech No. 5 in Oklahoma for total enrollment

OKLAHOMA CITY – Metro Tech ranks No. 1 in the state of Oklahoma for enrollment in adult and career development training, and No. 5 in the state for total enrollment according to the Journal Record’s 2021 Book of Lists.

Annually, the Journal Record ranks technology centers in Oklahoma by size of enrollment inclusive in three categories: Career Majors, Adult and Career Development, and Business and Industry. Metro Tech ranks first in Oklahoma for Adult and Career Development with 10,932 enrollments, and fifth in the state for 18,643 total enrollments during the academic year 2019-2020.

Superintendent and CEO Aaron Collins said of the ranking, “This cannot be achieved without great people. Metro Tech has a hard-working team to bring relevant training to the Oklahoma City community, and it shows that we are delivering what people need.”

Reinaldo Diaz, the adult and career development director at Metro Tech said, “Climbing the ladder to success is easily attainable when gaining certifications as you go.” He said, “Find out what your passion is, and get the skills you may be lacking so you are ready.”

“We are evaluating courses, and offering multiple dates with varied day or evening times to meet the needs of people,” said Diaz. “We continue to explore opportunities to provide quality training.”

Metro Technology Centers has four campuses offering short-term, career and customized business training. Campuses are located in South Oklahoma City, Northeast Oklahoma City, the Will Rogers Airport and Downtown Oklahoma City.
