Metro Tech moves to remote online learning   
Full-time career training delivered online only

OKLAHOMA CITY – Metro Tech school officials announced today that full-time career classes will move to remote online learning only beginning Monday, Nov. 16. Day and evening full-time training will continue online through Jan. 4, 2021. Bus transportation is not available.

Students of the Aviation Campus are advised to contact their teacher or site director for further information  

Students are prepared with technology and internet access to continue their studies from home. Superintendent Aaron Collins said, “For the safety of our students and staff, Metro Tech will begin delivering instruction of remote online learning in Format 3.”

Collins said, "As stated in our Return to Campus Plan, this includes teacher supervised online class sessions; the ability to interact with teachers and peers online; online communication between teachers and parents; and access to the online Learning Management System."

Metro Tech follows the Center for Disease Control recommendations, Oklahoma City-County Health Department and the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH). The campus emergency response team follow its safety protocols and established procedures to ensure students and staff are safe as possible. A letter from Mr. Collins was provided to inform campus leaders and the public.

Metro Tech continues to work with local health officials to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19 and will continue to communicate with students and staff throughout the pandemic.
