Metro Tech health students win top honors at national HOSA competition

Eleven Metro Tech students from the Health Careers Center won top honors at the National Future Health Professionals (HOSA) Student Competition in Nashville, TN. They competed against approximately 7,000 students from across the nation.

Biomedical Sciences Academy students Jessica Cifuentes, Evelyn Longoria, Frantasia Williams, Esmerelda Santamaria, Mariah Vanzant, Kathy Nguyen, Shuntaya Denson and Ashley Guzman won first place in Parliamentary Procedures. 

Dental Assisting Program student Emily Scoles won second place in Extemporaneous Health Poster.

Radiologic Technology Program student Meredith Davis won second place in Transcultural Health. 

Dental Assisting Program student Amy Field placed top ten in Dental Assisting.
