Metro Tech celebrates new high school students as they sign letter of intent

Mirroring the NCAA’s National Signing Day for athletes, Metro Tech hosted Signing Day at its Springlake and South Bryant Campuses for new incoming high school students. Hundreds of students brought friends and family to celebrate as they signed a letter of intent committing to their future in CareerTech education.

Metro Tech Superintendent Dr. Elaine Stith expressed the importance of signing day as she addressed the students before they signed their letter of intent.

“I recently attended my grandson’s athletic signing day event, and I truly believe this event is equally important. Your CareerTech education is the first step to preparing yourself for employment and life. This type of education builds a highly skilled workforce and contributes to the community. We value your commitment,” she said.
