Students in this major will study biomedical science through the exciting Project-Lead-the-Way (PLTW) curriculum that will provide students hand on projects, labs, and experiences. Topics will include bio-informatics, human medicine, and an in depth study of the human body. In addition, students will complete advanced math and science courses. Students who complete this major will have been exposed to a diverse curriculum that will better equip them to choose and be successful in a major at the college/university level.
Health Careers Center
Located on the Springlake Campus in Oklahoma City, the Metro Tech Health Careers Center trains students for careers in many aspects of the health industry. Full-time and short-term classes are available in a wide range of careers including Practical Nursing, Advanced Unlicensed Assistant, Biomedical Sciences, Dental Assisting, Health Unit Clerk, Medical Assistant, Nurse Aide, Pharmacy Clerk, Pharmacy Technician, Physical Therapy Aide, Radiologic Technology and Surgical Technology.
